Actually, there are many ways your children or student can practice scissors cutting to develop their fine motor skills. They can cut plain papers, wrapping papers that got pictures or designs on them, newspaper, store ads, old magazines, and they will be more you can think of. The cutting will be as they wish it to be cut. Let them do it. After some time let them cut in a way that will develop their focus by cutting certain patterns. I start with a short straight line.
