One of the most popular activities for children is cutting shapes with scissors.

It's a great way to help them develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

Here's a guide to this fun activity.

Supplies. You'll need a pair of sharp scissors, construction paper or cardstock in various colors, and some pencils or markers.

Instructions.  Help your child draw simple shapes on the paper - circles, squares, triangles, etc.

If they're struggling, you can trace shapes for them using a light pencil mark.

Carefully cut out the shapes along the lines.

Encourage your child to decorate their shapes however they like using markers or colored pencils.

Once they're finished, encourage them to glue or tape their shapes onto another piece of paper to create a collage!
